The Jürgen Ponto foundation has been awarding work grants to young artists since 2003. Within the framework of their grants, David Polzin and Jeronimo Voss – the recipients of the years 2010/11 and 2012/13 – will present their works in two successive exhibitions at the MMK Zollamt.
For the fifth time the graduates of the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste – Städelschule will exhibit their works at the MMK Zollamt.
This solo exhibition will be the first to present the work of Korean artist Jewyo Rhii (b. 1971) to a broad public in Germany. Her work mirrors the influences of the constant movement between Asia, America and Europe as well as her poetic and humorous observations of human conditions and its ability to make itself at home in surroundings.
The production of art in Germany today is defined by various forms of collaboration between artists from all over the world and by an intellectual and cultural climate that is profoundly international.
"The Krazy House" will be the first comprehensive filmic retrospective of the Dutch artist’s work worldwide. In dialogue with the MMK collection, film rooms and selected photographs by Dijkstra will be featured throughout the museum’s interior.
The MMK is presenting two works by Carsten Nicolai (b. 1965) revolving around various aspects of human perception and making their mechanisms experienceable – "unidisplay" and "uni(psycho)acoustic".
